Chargé d'Affaires Darlier Dorval
Mr. Darlier DORVAL assumed his duties as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Haiti in Vietnam on June 26, 2024.
Born in Port-de-Paix, Mr. Dorval completed his classical studies at the Collège Immaculée Conception in Port-de-Paix, then finished his final year at the Collège Émile Roumer in Port-au-Prince. After university studies at IHECE (Institute of Higher Commercial Studies) and at the State University of Haiti, he furthered his education at Atlantic College and Seminary in the Bahamas, where he taught French at C.H. Reeves Junior High School and Creole at the College of the Bahamas.
Subsequently, he joined TELUQ in international relations and then the University of Montreal in international cooperation, where he began his diplomatic career as a consultant in 2014 at the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal. In 2018, he was promoted to Minister Counselor and then Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Haiti in the Bahamas. He was later transferred to Chile for two months before being assigned to Japan in the same role, where he served as Chargé d’Affaires until July 2023.
Married and the father of three children, he speaks Creole, French, English, and a little Spanish.
