As part of its mission to promote bilateral relations, the Embassy of Haiti in Vietnam conducted a study visit from May 14 to May 22, 2025. This tour included a series of strategic meetings with major Vietnamese companies and local authorities, aiming to boost commercial, industrial, and agricultural exchanges between the two countries.
Meeting with Vinafood 1 – May 14, 2025
The first stop of the mission was in Hanoi, with a meeting at Vinafood 1, a key player in the Vietnamese agri-food sector. Mr. Ha, General Director, and Mr. Nghia, a company executive, discussed export opportunities, food security, and agricultural value chain development with the Embassy delegation.
Discussion with Viettel – May 15, 2025
On May 15, the Embassy was hosted by the leadership of Viettel, the country’s leading telecommunications operator. Mr. Quang, Deputy General Director, Mr. Trung, Head of Viettel Global, and Mr. Lan, Office Manager, presented the group’s international expansion ambitions. Discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in connectivity, digitalization, and technology transfer.
Visit to Garco 10 – May 20, 2025
On May 20, the delegation met with Ms. Thao, Commercial Director of Garco 10, one of Vietnam’s most iconic textile companies, along with Mr. Ha from the sales department. The conversation centered on export opportunities to Caribbean markets and best practices in responsible production.
Trip to Ha Nam – May 21, 2025
On May 21, the Embassy visited Ha Nam province and met with Mr. Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, and Mr. Vuong, an officer from the same department. The delegation also explored the industrial cluster in Binh Luc commune, accompanied by Mr. Hai, a representative of the site’s management committee. This visit provided insight into local industrial infrastructure and helped evaluate economic cooperation opportunities.
Meeting with Son La Provincial Authorities – May 22, 2025
On May 22, an important meeting took place with the authorities of Son La province. Ms. Trang Thi Xuan, Executive Vice-Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, led the discussions alongside several directors and representatives from the departments of foreign affairs, agriculture, environment, industry, trade, and finance. The discussion highlighted investment opportunities in agri-business, fair trade, and sustainable development.
Visit to Bich Thao Coffee Cooperative – May 22, 2025
The mission concluded with a visit to the Bich Thao agricultural cooperative, specializing in high-quality coffee production. Mr. Thao, founder and president of the cooperative, presented the facilities, cultivation areas, and F1 plant nursery. The visit was attended by provincial representatives, including Mr. May and Mr. Quyen from the Department of Foreign Affairs. This meeting highlighted local expertise and export prospects to specialized markets.
This study visit by the Embassy of Haiti to Vietnam successfully strengthened bilateral relations and identified concrete areas of cooperation in the agricultural, industrial, and technological sectors. It is part of a dynamic of constructive dialogue aimed at fostering mutually beneficial development between Haiti and Vietnam.
